NATA submitted a letter to the GNWT on Jan 18, 2011 outling some concerns about new reporting requirements in the proposed  Wildlife Protection Act.  We are pleased to say that they have listened to our concerns and revised the text in the version tabled in the Legislature March 8 as Bill 9.  NATA's concerns were very specific though and you are urged to review the new act for other issues and provide your feedback either in writing or directly to them at any of the public consultation sessions planned for April 2011.

NATA's President, Joe Sparling, and Executive Director, Stephen Nourse, met with the the Federal Minister of Transport, the Honourable Chuck Strahl, today to discuss Northern Aviation.  Discussion was both frank and positive.  It concentrated on the value and contribution of Northern Aviation to the economy of the North along with infrastructure impediments from the air carrier perspective.  Two documents were left for the Minister's consideration.
