The NATA Board met Friday, November 16 in Vancouver.  A very full agenda of issues including recently released Aviation Circulars regarding gravel runway ops and specific aircraft specifications were discussed.  As well, new Canada Labour Code amendments were discussed and are posted on NATA website. Happy to provide complete briefing to any member on request as the issues were .

TCCA has asked NATA for information about LPV approaches.

NEED TO KNOW:

1.  Who is using LPV approved approaches now and how many.
2.  What airports need LPV approaches- I also stated there needs to be a supporting REIL system, and he agreed.

Really appreciate input on specific runways, as TC is anxious to move forward, for various reasons.

CRM Update- Just received from TCCA and asked to distribute to members:

"It has come to our attention that some operators have not yet submitted their CRM training program to TCCA for validation or completed the required training in order to meet the January 31, 2019 deadline. It is imperative that operators are informed that once the CRM training program has been submitted to TCCA they can immediately begin training and must be compliant by January 31, 2019. If a deficiency is found with a submitted CRM training program during the validation process, TCCA will inform the operator of the deficiency but this shall not invalidate training already completed or prevent the training from being completed.

It is paramount that the CRM training be delivered; any shortcoming can be addressed at a later date. Please be advised that the process listed above is only applicable for the implementation of an operators CRM training in order to meet the January 31st, 2019 deadline.

NATA has developed material that may be helpful-  Please do not hesitate to contact me anytime on this or any issue causing concern.
